The Reaching for Rainbows Project

In order to get my book into the hands of as many children as possible, I’ve created an Indiegogo campaign called The Reaching for Rainbows Project.

Short Summary

Reaching for RainbowsThe campaign is for the donation of copies of the picture book REACHING FOR RAINBOWS to libraries in the United States. Neither myself or the illustrator will be making any royalties on this campaign as our main focus is to get the book into the hands of children.

Book Description: Join Amelia, who is blind, as she shows her friend Betsy how she experiences all the colors of the rainbow. In return, Betsy helps Amelia experience a rainbow. The color-concept book teaches children a different way to experience colors. Ages 2-4.

  • $100: You’ve reached the Rainbow! Donate books to 14 libraries and receive an autographed copy for yourself.

Please help us get this book into the hands of children. If you would like to preview the first few pages of the book before you make your decision, please go to http://utales.com/books/reaching-for-rainbows. If you would like to purchase the book so that you may donate it in person at your library, or if you would like your own personal copy, please use my contact form to let me know and I can mail a copy to your US address for $7. You can also purchase off Amazon or my CreateSpace eStore, but both of those options are more expensive. (I can give a 50% off coupon code through CreateSpace, but even then you’d be paying $8.59 when you include shipping.)

The Impact

Nessa Morris holding two copies of Reaching for RainbowsBy donating to this campaign, you’ll be helping America’s libraries by enriching their collections and helping them get the book into the hands of a child.

By getting this book in the hands of a child, you’ll be helping them learn to see and experience the world in a different way.

By making this book available in libraries, you’ll be helping not just one child, but many.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you can’t donate, please spread the word. The more people who donate, the more books we’ll be able to send to libraries. After all, people can’t donate to the campaign, if they don’t know about it.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CAMPAIGN IS LIMITED TO UNITED STATES LIBRARIES BECAUSE OF COPYRIGHT AND SHIPPING COSTS, ETC.

If you would like to donate to a library in another country, please use my contact form to let me know. We can discuss the best way to get the book into libraries in your country.

Thank you so much for your support!

For each donation, a label will put inside inside the book to let the library know that you donated it. If you prefer not to select a library, I can select one for you. I will take a photo of the donation label with your name placed inside the book and email it to you.
