A Sweet Treat

Bowl of dumplingsA Sweet Treat?
by Nessa Morris

Made a strawberry dumpling to eat,
For my mom as a Mother’s Day treat.
But the food wasn’t great
‘cause my mom hardly ate.
She was sticking it under her seat.

Hope you enjoyed the poem. I seem to have a fondness for limericks right now, so don’t be surprised if you see a few more in the upcoming week. Next word up is “eagle.” Hopefully, everyone who wanted to vote got a chance to, and that I haven’t accidentally locked everyone out of voting in today’s post.

eel, 20%; eagle, 40%; elevator, 20%; empirical, 20%
