Kids’ Poem: A Shocking New Do

Punk with pink mohawk

A Shocking New Do
by Nessa Morris

I hear my classmates mocking, “He’s boring through and through.”
I’m not a boring fellow. I’ll think of what to do.
It must be something shocking, a prank to make them blink.
I’ll dye my hair with Jell-O, a shocking shade of pink.

Hope you like today’s poem. It’ll probably be back to limericks on Friday with the word “kite.”

kitchen, 20%, kisses, 20%; kite, 40%; kalamazoo, 20%This weekend, I’m going to the SCBWI Wild, Wild Midwest Conference, so I’m crossing my fingers I’ll have some great inspiration for Monday’s poem.

Have a great week and don’t forget to vote for an “L” word!

    1. Thanks. Jell-O wasn’t that bad. There are lots of words to rhyme with it. Im worried when we get to the end of the alphabet. Those words are really going to be a challenge.
