Kids’ Poem: Laney’s Cracker

sad duck

Laney's Cracker
by Nessa Morris

Ducky sees her cracker.
What will Laney do?

Ducky wants her cracker.
What will Laney do?

Ducky eats her cracker.
What will Laney do?

Laney ate the quacker,
So she got the cracker, too.

Had a rough time with this poem. However, it inspired another poem called “Unlucky Penny” that I like a bit better, so it wasn’t all bad. I just wish I could have found a way to fit the word “quacker” in the other poem. Oh, well! I’ll have to save “Unlucky Penny” for another time.

rhythm, 20%, rickety, 40%; robot, 40%Looks like Monday’s poem will be about rickety robots, if I can find time to write in between barbeques. Have a great Memorial Weekend everyone!
