Tooth Fairy's Revenge
by Nessa Morris

My tooth was loose and wiggly jiggly.
“Eat a turnip,” Granny said.
A turnip didn’t sound too yummy,
so I ate a tart instead.

My tooth was loose and wiggly jiggly.
“Eat a corncob,” Daddy said.
A corncob didn’t sound too yummy,
so I ate a pie instead.

My tooth was loose and wiggly jiggly.
“Eat a carrot,” Mommy said.
A carrot didn’t sound too yummy,
so I ate a cake instead.

My tooth was loose and wiggly jiggly.
“Oww! My tummy aches,” I said.
“The veggies didn’t sound too yummy,
so I ate junk food instead.”

My tooth was loose and wiggly jiggly,
as mom tucked me into bed.
The fairy gifted me a toothache.
Wish I got a coin instead.

underwear, 85.7%; unicycle, 14.3%“Underwear” almost had a unanimous win. Only one person voted for “unicycle” and the rest of the words were left in the dust.
